They Were Set Up

They Were Set Up

They were set up...

Christine-Marie Goce and Reynaldo Ballesteros, Jr. were set up on a blind date. Christine's cousin (who also happens to be Rey's coworker) decided to play matchmaker. She thought they'd be perfect for each other, and boy was she right!

Their First Date

Their First Date

Their first date...

After weeks of texting and late night phone calls, Christine and Rey decided to go on their first date! Although they both lived in the Bay Area, Christine had never seen a number of the tourist attractions the city had to offer. For this reason, Rey took Christine on a tour of San Francisco. They went to Alamo Square, Delores Park, Twin Peaks, Mel's Diner, and the Palace of Fine Arts. At the Palace of Fine Arts, as they sat on a bench, overlooking the water and illuminated Palace, Rey asked her to be his girlfriend. They spent the rest of the night singing Alicia Keys "Unthinkable" because even though it was only their first date, they knew it was the beginning of something beautiful. Best blind date ever.

He proposed...

After a year of dating, Rey knew Christine was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Originally, he wanted to propose to her at a school during a fire drill, dressed as a fireman. The principal said that could cause a liability issue. For this reason, Rey decided to recreate their first date. He once again took her Alamo Square, Delores Park, Twin Peaks, Mel's Diner, and the Palace of Fine Arts. Instead of asking Christine to be his girlfriend at the end of the night like he had previously done, Rey asked Christine to marry him under the beautiful dome of the Palace of Fine Arts.
